BIO

I am an archaeologist specializing in the diverse applications of stable isotope analyses. I strive to integrate the interpretation of sociocultural processes within the framework of local historical ecology. I earned my doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires in 2023, characterizing the connections of hunter-gatherer societies with the terrestrial and marine food webs in Patagonia. Currently, I am working on the ERC project "Sustainability of Agriculture in Neolithic Europe" at the University of Mainz. I apply biogeochemical methods to both archaeobotanical remains and modern crops. Combined with agronomic models, this approach enables me to characterize the diversity of past agricultural practices, as well as to assess the scopes and challenges faced by early farmers at the frontiers of Neolithic expansion.
